As promised here are some photographs of some of the work done during the weekend of August 1, 2010.
The condition of the front steps before repair work.
Jennifer removed all the old loose tiles and chipped concrete.
After a pressure washing, the top step was formed.
The top step was poured and troweled before the rain.
The forms on the top step are removed and the bottom step formed.

Next weekend the step will be painted to match the dark color of the tile.
Jessica is cleaning the slab of the pagoda.
Painting the black brick wall of the pagoda. It will be spray painted next weekend.
Lynn is painting the interior brick of the living room fireplace.
The black brick really makes the tile surround and hearth stand out.
Our new Cat "Chip". Chip likes to meow...............

ReplyDeleteThat is actually one of the girls cats. They call him Whiny Tiny! (for a reason) He never meets a stranger, but it seems he likes your house better than ours... (maybe too much competition with the other cats) Keep him fed till we get back and then maybe we could have visitation rights?! :)

Don't worry. The charges for feeding and boarding your cat will be reasonable. Hope ya'll are having fun on the trip.
