28th Wedding Anniversay Spent At Zelda

Wow. We were pleasantly surprised at the transformation of the upstairs at Zelda this week. The Workman family started installing the crown molding, baseboards, bead board and doors which all look fantastic. All the doors upstairs, with the exception of the pocket door have been installed. Brent will need to get the door knobs and install. We will order the stain nickle to match the door hinges and we have decided to use the "egg" shape style.

The pictures taken do not do justice to how great the upstairs is looking. The Workman ( Ray and Ray Jr.) installed the bead board beginning in the stairwell downstairs and continued upstairs to a height of four (4) foot in the entire upstairs hallway. Then they capped it off with a customized chain rail. Then because you can see the upstairs crown molding from downstairs, it too was customized and all look great. We went with the wide style baseboard which was typical of that era.

Brent, with some help, repaired the remaining hardwood floor areas upstairs in anticipation of having the the floors finished. Unfortunately, the floor sanding and finish may have to be put on hold due to the lack of progress being made by our electrician. Brent will need to have a serious talk with him next week, but our electrician has had some health issues which have slowed his normal slow pace.

We celebrated our twenty eighth (28) wedding anniversary with the girls working at Zelda. To us the progress was a great gift and now, Zelda is looking like a house inside.
