Lynn and Brent again made the trip back to Kings Mountain on Saturday to continue work on Zelda. We again stayed over Saturday night and worked till about noon on Sunday. Our electrican did not show up during the week so Brent will have to call him this week to get him to do some work. He is really putting him behind schedule, but the price was right.
Brent continued on the master bath floor and was able to complete the majority of the work. He would have been able to finish more on Saturday, put heavy afternoon down pours prevented him from using the saw to make any cuts. Yes that right, he did not want our wet saw to get wet.
Lynn did mark the location of the lights that we have for our electrican to hang. She also removed all the demolished brick from the upstairs master bedroom reading room fireplace hearth along with concrete. To her surprise there was alot of broken glass in the hearth, which we found on two (2) other fireplaces downstairs. If anyone knows why people in the 1920's would put broken glass in a fireplace hearth, please leave a comment.
We do have someone lined up to start at the end of May to sand and refinish our upstair wood floors. We have some repair work to peform prior to his arrival, so I know the next few weekends Brent will concentrate his efforts on the repairs.
